    Russia Launches Overnight Drone Assault

    Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 142 drones, Ukraine’s Air Force reported on Telegram.

    Explosions struck Kherson, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro as the assault unfolded.

    Ukrainian forces shot down 126 drones, while 16 drones hit 10 locations across the country.

    Kherson Sustains Casualties and Damage

    Local media reported two deaths and 14 injuries in Kherson after drones struck homes, schools, a hospital, a gas station, and vehicles.

    Authorities confirmed nine houses, several medical and educational facilities, and an administrative building sustained damage.

    Odesa Blackout Hits Thousands

    Chornomorsk sustained the heaviest damage in Odesa, leaving at least 29,000 residents without power.

    District Governor Oleg Kiper said crews began restoration immediately, using generators to power critical infrastructure.

    Zelenskyy Reports Heavy Russian Losses in Pokrovsk

    President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia focused its heaviest attacks on Pokrovsk while suffering major losses.

    He stated Ukrainian forces continue assigned missions in Donetsk and systematically destroy Russian positions.

    Zelenskyy added Russia lost over 290,000 soldiers killed or severely wounded in the first eight months of the year.

    He warned Russia shows the war will not end without international pressure.
